Dear Friend:

It is an honor and a privilege to serve the people of the 4th Congressional District.

When the voters again entrusted me to represent them for a seventh term in the November 2006 election, I knew I could not have received that great honor without the help of many friends. Our supporters have been incredible. From the tremendous grassroots effort to the financial contributors, we have a team that has helped us to three consecutive election night wins of 61 percent, 66 percent and 64 percent.

The most recent victory may be the greatest tribute to our volunteers. Despite a volatile political climate, we had volunteers in the office every day working on projects that helped get out our voters on election day. In an atmosphere where negative ads were the norm, we were able to run nothing but positive ads and talk about our accomplishments and our vision for the future.

Despite being in the minority in the 110th Congress, I will continue to work on maintaining and creating high paying, high quality jobs in Kansas and the United States.
