Tiahrt Calls on Kansans to Keep Kansas Red by Donating to the Red Cross MINNEAPOLIS—U.S. Representative Todd Tiahrt (R-Goddard) today called on Kansans to donate funds to the Red Cross in keeping with his "Keep Kansas Red" theme at the Republican National Convention. Tiahrt hosted a lunch for Kansans attending the national convention and urged those gathered to give donations to the American Red Cross Midway-Kansas Chapter or the American Red Cross to help with relief efforts from the after effects of natural disasters in Kansas and the Gulf Coast states.
"In keeping with my theme of Keeping Kansas Red this election season, I have asked my fellow Kansans to consider donating funds to the Red Cross Midway-Kansas Chapter or the American Red Cross to assist those suffering from natural disasters," said Tiahrt. "Many Kansans and Gulf Coast residents have been hit with destructive tornados and hurricanes in the past few years. The Red Cross has been there to help those in need, and I hope we as Kansans can lend our support to make sure the Red Cross has the resources it needs to respond when disaster strikes." Donations to the American Red Cross Midway-Kansas Chapter can be made by calling 316-219-4000. Donations to the American Red Cross can be made by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by going to www.redcross.org to donate online. # # # September 4, 2008 Contact: 316-440-2805 paid for and authorized by Kansans for Tiahrt - www.ToddTiahrt.com |
