Tiahrt urges Boeing to Reach Quick Agreement with Workers PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 10 September 2008 00:00

WASHINGTON—U.S. Representative Todd Tiahrt (R-Goddard) today met with Jim McNerney, Jr., Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Boeing Company. Tiahrt discussed the tanker contract and asked for Boeing management to sit down with union leaders to reach a solid labor contract.

“Today I met with top Boeing management and encouraged them to move toward a labor contract agreement that is good for their workers,” said Tiahrt. “Everyone came together to fight for American jobs on the tanker contract, and now I hope Boeing management and union leaders can work together to quickly reach agreement on a solid labor contract.

“It grieves me to have friends and constituents out of work during these challenging times. I want Boeing workers to be pleased with their contract and all the workers at Boeing and Spirit to be back on the job full-time as quickly as possible.”
